- Chicago Park Districts
- Chicago Public Library
- Millennium Park - Family Fun Festival
The first Annual Courtenay Fest was a HUGE success! Because of rain showers and unseasonal frigid temperatures the festival was moved inside of the school. Children, parents, community members and staff enjoyed carnival games, inflatables, pony rides, popcorn, face painting, origami, and attendees bidded on original Art work created by Courtenay students. Students also tried their luck at dunking staff members (Mrs. Hinze, Mr. Lucas, Principal King) in the Dunk Tank. A HIGH FIVE to all the fathers that volunteered to grill food for guest to enjoy. The Courtenay Fest committee members (Mrs. Pikes, Ms. Schlesser, Mrs. Vickas, Mr. De Ramus, Mrs. King) did a FANTASTIC job at planning and orchestrating this memorable event.

The DISC Personality Assessment (Dominant, Inspiring, Cautious and Supportive) is a personal assessment tool used to improve work productivity, teamwork and communication. Staff members were able to learn about different personality styles and how they communicate. The retreat was a perfect way to reflect on the current school year, re-energize and plan school activities for the upcoming school year. After the meetings Courtenay Staff were able to go horse back riding, paint balling, canoeing, ping pong, or take a nature walk.
